Deep Winter 2024
December 15th - January 11th

North-Eastern Federal University

Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, Russia

(Want to celebrate a wintertime holiday? Too bad.)

MathIGy is an intensive residential winter program for serious secondary students who want to study mathematics with gravitas.

Do you want to sit in endless monotonic mathematics lectures? Yes? MathIGy is for you. In MathIGy classes, instructors explain mathematics in great and tedious detail. You will review old ideas regularly, practice rote drills, see unexplained notation pass before your eyes, and hone your sitting skills. You'll become one with the ground. (This is the effect of gravity.) Of course, you will find mathematics infused with gravity.

It's four weeks of cold mathematical drudgery.

For more details, follow the links at the top of the page.

Note about SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19: For social distancing reasons, all classes will take place outdoors.

Gravity not intense enough for you? Consider our alter-ego program MathISni.

Winter inconvenient? Check out our summer programs, MathILy and MathILy-Er. (Why no MathIGy-Er? See our Only Asked Question.)
