Things people often email about and corresponding pre-responses:
- I submitted a Short Form but haven't received the EAR! The EAR is never released before February (which is generally accepted to be before Spring, when rolling admissions begin), so if it's before February... On the other hand, if it is Spring (March or later), and it's been at least 48 hours since you submitted your Short Form, please check your spam filter for an email from the {MathILy, MathILy-Er} Minion. If there is no EAR, email explaining the situation.
- I will need a lot of financial aid to attend. Can I tell you about my circumstances so you can tell me whether I will qualify for enough aid? On the application page, we say "Financial aid forms are available to admitted students only---we don't want any knowledge of your financial circumstances to be within a mile of the admissions process." We mean that! We do not want to know anything about your financial circumstances in advance of your full application! Therefore, please do not contact us about this matter. Instead, remember (because of course you read the facts pages) that we will almost certainly meet the demonstrated need of all admitted students (both US and international).
